15 years ago this week (Jan 18th, exactly) Chan Yuk Lin Online (CYLO) started with an internet search when I first learned how to type Idy’s name in Chinese. The site first resided on my student web account at school, and moved around from many free web hosts with different URLs. Finally, the domain name created in April 2009. Here’s to the next 15 years…?

Idy Chan no longer wishes people to remember her as Little Dragon Girl 小龍女 SLL “Being SLL for so many years, doesn’t fit with my age, the truth is no one is otherworldly.” On her comeback in “Silver…” 《名媛望族》 which premiered today, she would like to send her gratitude to Damian Lau “He has treated me as a rookie, but I don’t mind because we work as a team, so one’s performance has great impact on others. I’m a carefree person, but my character is miserable, so he told me to put myself into the character, but also needs to hang out or interact with other cast mates off screen.”
Because of her work in remote areas, many often think she’s already exiting the showbiz “Every time when people called me, I am often in the remote region, but I also needs to eat [earn money], so if the scripts are right and the timing work out, I would like to act.” She explained further “Even though, we’re not affiliated with organization, you can call us “Free and Unfettered”, but it’s not easy as it seems. There’s one occasion, parent of 1 girl that we had agreed to bring her in didn’t trust us, and want their child back even checking my background on the internet.” Currently, we foster 6 girls aged 14-17 teaching them everything from English to pass on the charity mission.
Hoping to film comedy.
Idy expressed the hope to able to do comedy “I would love to film a comedy, doesn’t matter who’s the costar, if the character is right, even working with Andy Lau again would be no problem”. When mentioned that Andy has agreed to film for TVB, Idy heartily laughed “He’s more likely to film idol drama, I like to film comedy but it’s all the same goal.”

At the interview for TVB program “Best Actor” 《最佳男主角》 hosted by Luisa Maria Leitão 黎芷珊 this week featuring Tony Leung 梁朝偉, Anthony Wong 黃秋生, and Andy Lau 劉德華. Once again, Andy answered on his relationship with female artists in the circle like Anita Mui 梅艷芳, Rosamund Kwan 關之琳, and Idy Chan 陳玉蓮. He said “I did tell Idy my feelings, but she simply just gave me a smile.” Later he gave up knowing Idy was dating Chow Yun Fat 周潤發. “She could have been my girlfriend” he expressed. In the afternoon on Sep 22nd after just returning from Tibet, Idy Chan immediately rushed to a cosmetic center in Guangzhou. As it’s already winter in Tibet, and still wearing a thick leather jacket, she had no time to take it off to get ready for the grand opening of “Meien Medical Aesthetic Hospital of Guangzhou”. At the event, Idy was quite interactive with the fans on answering questions about beauty, however the focus of the talk was about the girl name Hua Yanwen whose face was genetically masked with big “mole” on 2/3 of a cheek and often bullied by peers. After the ceremony, the “Love Clinic” established and the manager together with Idy presented the girl $10,000RMB and free of charge for her first treatment at the center.
Idy also briefly mentioned her role in the upcoming “Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles” 名媛望族 “The character is quite resentful, just reading the scripts alone made me want to cry, and there’s crying in almost every scene.”
It’s believed that Andy has agreed to film a drama for TVB with Eric Tsang’s 曾志偉 pursue, and it seems that Chow is also in the talk to film for TVB also. It’d be great if Idy be part of these dramas as a guest cameo. In the meanwhile, I’m impatiently waiting for the airing of “Silver…”

Andy Lau concluded the last two nights of his Unforgettable concert series with an all-star guest list: TVB 80s Tigers Michael Miu, Felix Wong, Kent Tong, Carina Lau (also on behalf of Tony Leung), Rosemund Kwan, Liza Wang, and of course Idy Chan. Andy introduced “Hope everyone give a big hand to blissfully welcome my forever ‘Little Dragon Girl’ (SLL), one can never find a second Little Dragon Lady in this world, Lin Mui really has a true heart of SLL, a heart of gold.” Audience gave a thunderous applause and both embraced as Andy finished singing “Strong Love in Two Hearts”. For this special segment, both appeared in attires designed by “Blanc de Chine“, which made the reunion of “Gugu” and “Gor Yee” even more perfect with the white color signifying the traditional Chinese lovers. 
It’s been long time no see Andy joked if Idy has visited “Passionless Valley”. Idy replied “I’ve been in China rural for half a year helping poor children and teaching them mental well-being. But along the way through many different places, Andy has been contributed significantly, it’s just that people don’t always mention it”. Fans immediately responded with great applause to both. In the audience and/or backstage, besides his parents, there was also Cherie Chung, TVB General Mangers Virginia Lok, Stephen Chan, Mrs. Run Run Shaw, and many other big names.

Andy Lau will be holding a concert series of 20 nights from 20 December 2010 to 8 January 2011 “ANDY LAU 劉德華 UNFORGETTABLE CONCERT 2010” to mark his 30 years in the showbiz. At the press conference yesterday, he mentioned that he have the idea to invite Idy Chan, Chow Yun Fat and the TVB 5 Tigers as guests of his concerts to appear in the segment called “Moment” which will feature the artistes that he collaborated before, but nothing confirmed yet.
