About A5 News

August 23, 2007 at 15:21

A5 derived from the name of 隋朝蘭陵公主 Princess Lanling of the Sui Dynasty – 楊阿五 Yang Awu [mandarin] or Yeung A Ng [cantonese], the fifth child and only daughter of Emperor Wen of Sui according HK-TVB‘s historical drama 大運河 “The Grand Canal”. This TV serial is the 20th anniversary show for TVB in 1987. Idy Chan 陳玉蓮 played Yeung A Ng [Ng is pronounced as ŋ & means 5 or 5th]. Coincidentally in real life, Idy Chan is the fifth [also the youngest] child of her parents. Therefore this blog’s title!

Starting today or August 23, 2007: all news of Idy Chan will be posted HERE.

When I first heard the blog name, I was wonder how it connected to A5. Is it something similar to F4? hehe. Now I know it. You are so creative.
