I can see that Joe isn’t somebody’s favorite here! HAHA! That’s interesting to hear there’s some resemblance between Fala & Idy? I would prefer to see Idy plays opposite Adam Cheng, who ages better than Damien Lau. I believe they are almost the same age.
Hmm…seems like both Joe and Fala is looking forward to collaborating with Idy. So glad to hear that. Yeah, I agree with you that the press tends to refer to Idy as SLL and she’s annoyed with that (actually, I’m quite irritated with that too).
As for Fala Chen, somehow, I think she resembles Idy to a certain extent. Her looks and smile, I mean. For those who don’t know anything about her, she’s Miss Chinese International 2005 first runner up and you know TVB tend to promote their pageant winners a lot these days. I have a hard time understanding her accent though.
As for Joe, I never really liked him. Yeah, and all his rumors, I don’t like. I don’t even think he’s handsome. He usually plays the evil and greedy type of characters that gives me a bad impression on him.
Idy and Damien pairing up. I use to dislike Damien a lot after watching Yesterday Glitters and An Awakening Story, but he kind of redeemed himself in The Drive of Life. So I’m fine with him pairing up with Idy. He’s a great actor even though he looks kind of old now.
yah i agree. i’m sure Idy wants pp to remember her as THE actress Idy Chan, instead of the character she portrayed.
i know nothing about Fala Chen either. i’m pretty much clueless about the newest generation of artists. about Joe, not looking forward to watching him, but oh well…
She said in Apple Daily interview that it’s a family oriented, educational kinda series. Personally, I expect the plot to be light-hearted, not spaghetti-complicated. I’m a sucker for tall guys, so why not Joe Ma? Yet, I agree that he’s more convincing as a villain!
you like Joe Ma? hm… i’m a bit disappointed to learn that he’s gonna be in the series. to me, he’s only great at being the bad guy. i bet you the series will focus on Damian’s & Joe’s characters. maybe they both are thieves; Damian is the master while Joe is the novice. just guessing ^__^
It’d be so MAJOR if we get to see Idy on the big screen before her work in the small screen. Simon would probably help Idy networking with directors. Maybe he’s really helping Pang Ho-Cheung to find a leading lady for Pang’s next film just like he said.
Erin your translation is all correct and in details, much better than mine hehe.
It’s just so good to see Idy being this active in public now. She looks really great there. Also the dress is beautiful.
hmm..I don’t know Idy is good friend with Simon Yim either and that Simon wants to introduce Idy to other directer. He’s a real good friend rite? Maybe we could watch Idy in the big screen before she film any TVB series haha.
Yes, I also can see that Idy gets uncomfortable when being associated with Siu Lung Lui. But of course, she can’t control what people say or think about her. Ironically, she said her best performance is acting the role of SLL.
Simon is also very kind that he really wants to re-introduce Idy to HK filming industry & that Idy is also the Best Leading Actress in his heart. I do really hope to see Simon & Idy together on-screen.
Behind every popular blog is a reader. Of course, I made it up.
There’s no bigger size of the group photos for now. If I can find any, I definitely will link to the thumbnails. Maybe you should try to watch the video for better view.
Ooops…wrong grammar. I originally wanted to say “You” but changed to ” Your blog” and I forgot to change “have” to “has”. Bad grammar is my pet peeve. So, it bugs me especially when the wrong grammar is on my part 😛
Hahahaha…your comment cracks me up!! LOL LOL Yup, I do watch this blog 24/7. Your blog have my total devotion and support!! ; )
Thanks for the photos! Idy looks AMAZING!!! What a natural beauty! I can’t enlarge the group photos with Amy Kwok. According to the thumbnails, she looks the same age as Amy. She ages gracefully and beautifully!!
Thanks for your comment Helen! Trust me, you don’t want to help because it’s lot of work & overwhelming sometimes. I was only thinking out loud for the English script, I don’t have the luxury of time anymore. Blogging news is so much easier & convenient than making website news. I guess old dogs can actually learn new tricks under some circumstances.
Andy & Idy are forever a couple in every fan’s heart. At least now we know they both admitted that they played Yeung Gor & Siu Lung Lui with their true emotions. It’s really 戲假情真 “fake act true feelings” between them in ROCH1983.
People cannot forget Andy & Idy as a couple! They often ask Andy about Idy. It’s super sweet of Andy to always say nice things about Idy and admitted his feelings for her.
It’d be a lot of work to provide English script for the show. I am sure Viet fans are satisfied enough to see Idy on-screen that they may forget all about not being able to understand her. I wish I could help!
Thanks Helen! It’d be nice if English translated transcript included, but there’d be too much work for me. For Viet fans, Cantonese lessons recommended 🙂
it’s so sweet of Andy to keep indicating that Idy left him the deepest impression. even though the news reports this quite a few times, i wont mind hearing Andy say it again. ^___^
