I actually admire her life. She doesn’t need to keep up w/ the so called technology & fashion as they don’t mean much in what she does. I agree w/ your comment Erin.

Hm… I believe most of the areas that she went for charity work are poor and remote. Probably no airports nor no flights going to those places. Besides, traveling by air is expensive and driving is more practical and convenient for her work. I believe she’s more “out of touch with celebrity lifestyle” but not life itself. She uses cell phone, emailing, and even text messaging… so she’s definitely keeping up with “technology” 🙂

My guess is this series won’t be ready until late Oct as the earliest, since they are still filming until April, and it takes at least 6 months for post-production.

Oh, then according to the plot, I am kind of guessing that The picture of Idy & Damian above was that Idy might saw her OLD LOVER (Ben Wong) at the party and passed out that why Damian carried her inside the house.

Uhmm, I guess they don’t push Idy/crew so hard to ruin the series. I do want to see this series get high rating since there are so many competition series like: War & Beauty and other…fighting next year.

Ok – the article doesn’t really focus on the series, but it’s about the pressure that actors, both new and old, having to deal with “on-the-fly scripts changes”, which allow them very little time to memorize the lines. Besides TVB, 3 new free tv stations are now available in HK, many scriptwriters left TVB to other companies, and 1 scriptwriter for “Prominent” also left. The capture under scenes with Idy is just saying that Idy has all the support from her cast mates, and she too has to deal with receiving scripts changes just a night before actual shooting.

Emmy, which forum posted info on Idy’s role? Well, if you read the Viet translation of TVB weekly on previous news/post, Idy’s doesn’t love Damian’s. Perhaps she seeks alcohol for her solitaire in this dysfunctional family?

According to Ben Wong’s video, his character and Idy’s are old lovers. Then he went abroad, and now returns as a business man, and has some business with Damian’s. Knowing that Idy’s now married to Damian’s, what would he do? “as long as you’re happy, i’m happy, but if you’re not… i’ll do something” that what he said in the video haha. He also mentioned that he and Idy already started shooting their first scene on that day [of the video]

And according to wikipedia page, Shek Sau’s role will be also pursuing Idy’s …which sounds very cool too.

Here are what I know so far: Idy’s character has a younger brother, no children w/ Damian’s. The 2 kids are children of the 3rd wife. 1st wife has 2 sons and 1 daughter (all grown ups). Also, Ben Wong’s character and Idy’s might have some romantic link – very refreshing idea and I very much like it <3 …haha

I would think this drama role should be given to Michael Miu instead of Damian, since Andy Lau isn’t going to be returned with TVB channel station. I have seen Michael Miu’s acting career in Chor Lau Heung with Yung Mei Ling before, I wondered why the director of Chong Wai Kin didn’t give Michael Miu a leading role for “Prominent Family?” I have a bad feeling about Damian’s acting skill, because he isn’t strong enough to play a leading role. On the other hand, Michael Miu is handsome, debonair, good looking guy who can handle a strong leading role in “Prominent Family” instead of Damian Lau.

@Michelle: I believe Kenix was one of the original cast, but not sure why her name not mentioned in the article. Since the producer is still casting for 5 wives characters, the cast will definitely change, and not sure if Idy actually will be in the series. However, MingPao news often more reliable than any other news.

@Jennifer: Only if Andy Lau agrees to act in TV drama again, he’s a big movie star now, going back to small screens is like walking backward to his past of 25 years ago. In the movie world, esp. in HK, audience prefer to see younger, currently popular actresses. Movie with Andy + Idy won’t be a good investment for film producers, unless they really have a good plot, which is rare these days.
