Perhaps I’m being an ignorant, but I really don’t know of any other websites like CYLO out there? (besides those Chinese forums at Baidu, diezi.net, etc) There was a time (probably less than a year) years ago that CYLO shut down [or rather temporarily closed because of lacking of news] and another website [almost a replica of CYLO] popped up, but it went dead just a short time after that. I had to think hard when I created a Facebook account to “advertise” CYLO to more fans, but it hasn’t been a success due to others started to copy what I posted, and created other “Pages” there [it’s still just a FB “Group” for CYLO and it is less popular than FB “Pages”]
Please don’t misunderstand me that I want to monopolize “Idy” on the web, I’m more than happy to share any her news and photos to the public regardless the audience is her fan or not. My main goal is to “consolidate” all fans into the same communities [English, Chinese and Vietnamese], but it’s quite difficult to do so. Facebook is not easily accessible in China [which has a larger fanbase], it could be the same for Tumblr. English-speaking fans in North America (US and Canada) are more scattered. Fans in Asia region speak different languages, and they post in their own languages on FB, and i often have no clues 🙂 So I prefer to keep CYLO the way it has been, just a traditional website, and occasionally posts on Facebook [via non-personal/CYLO account] and Weibo [via my personal account]
I do appreciate all the comments received here, I hope to continue to see visitors here instead at those “commercial/social networking sites” 😀
Aws sakura!!! Thanks for all your work towards making idy news assessible!! As mentioned before fans like us who have no real clue about whats going on at baidu or dienanh really appreciate CYLO’s existence. Its become a community for us english fans to be in the 411 of idy.
Its sad to hear thats the case, but hope Im not being mistakened either. Haha i meant it as a compliment to idy’s pictures. Tumblr is more of a photo twitter and im those types that when i have a “feel” or liking i’d like to share my thoughts on it. Every single photo. Haha. I use to write blogs so its been a habit to analyze everything. I dont like twitter or asian weibo because it has text restraints & i wanted a CYLO one because it seems to be really hard to find people who only post idy & not a sudden mix of others. 🙂 but i absolutely get what you mean from a webmistress & devoted fan perspective wgose really put so much effort in!!! FYI i dont care how fluctuating readership gets here, your going to have to see me comment. Even if the post doesnt match with the timing of your stuff. Haha. Im going to lure you out to have discussions about idy with me 😛
Thank you everyone! Maintaining this website has become the hobby that I really enjoy even with time constraints, as we all have busy lives ourselves.
JingMui, I do understand your well intention to comments on her photos at Tumblr. Perhaps, you could start an account on it, and I might follow you on that… but I’m unsure if I should have another net account that I might abandon later on 🙂 Esp. when I can’t go to any of those social networking sites during working hours, I could browse on my mobile during breaks, but then the whole point of having breaks is either doing nothing or eating haha! By the time I have a little time for internet, my eyes get tired 🙁
Anyway, Thanks so much for cheering us on. Yes – I can see the hard work you have put on Nancy Sit’s site for quite a while now.

I feel we have similar intentions for opening a site for our idols, face similar problems that i think most people would think keeping the site up is pointless (i have met people like that). But we keep maintaining it, keep updating it. Im sure theres a bit of “fire” in both of us that keeps the sites alive. 🙂 however i’d take your compliment anywaysk hahah
